In the USA, Rembrandt’s painting was sold for more than $1.4 million

The found painting was painted on an oak board and mounted in a gold Dutch frame with hand-carved carvings.

In the state of Maine, a painting by the Dutch artist Rembrandt van Rijn was found in the attic and sold at auction for more than 1.4 million dollars. This is reported by the Associated Press.

The 17th-century painting, titled Portrait of a Girl, was discovered by appraiser Kaia Vales at an estate in Camden. The painting has been in a private collection since the 1920s and was exhibited at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in 1970.

After intense bidding at the auction, a European collector bought it for $1.41 million.

It was previously reported that an auction will be held in October this year, where a large collection of costumes, props and scenery from the world of Game of Thrones will be presented.
